From struggling through my first 5K to running sub-2:20 for the marathon
Train smarter, run stronger, and enjoy the process more
I'm the founder of Best Athletics Running Club, a club I started 4 years ago that has grown into one of the fastest-growing running communities in the UK, with 600+ members and 7 coaches.
I've also worked as:
Head Coach of Best Athletics
Adidas London coach
A coach helping runners improve with smarter, more structured training
But more than that, I'm someone who genuinely loves helping people get better. Running has been my passion for years. And like many runners, my journey didn't start with everything clicking straight away.
When I first started running, I didn't enjoy it at all. Every kilometre felt like a struggle, and I couldn't understand why people willingly did it for fun. My first 5K was over 25 minutes, and my first marathon was 3:17.
But after that first race, something changed.
I got fitter. I started to understand the process. And I realised that if I trained properly, I could improve.
That mindset has never left me.
Today, I rely on running more than ever. I truly believe there are few things as rewarding as a personal best — and very few feelings better than the endorphins after a great run.
No shortcuts. Just consistency, smart training, and hard work.
Since then, I've run 100+ consecutive sub-3-hour marathons, with personal bests including:
Marathon: 2:19:4
Half Marathon: 66:58
10K: 30:44
5K: 14:38
